Thermolite Reactor Bag Liner

These come in different temperature ratings. I have used both the reactor and extreme reactor. I do not camp without one of these anymore because of how much warmth it adds to my bag.

Buff

Buffs dry super fast and wick away moisture, which makes them great for travel. I use them when its warm to keep me cool and when its cold to keep me warm. The original style can be shaped 12 different ways making them versatile when you are keeping your gear weight low and compact. I personally have a petty tiny face and find that the headbands fit me great and help keep the hair out of my face when I am boating, fishing and hiking.

Sawyer Water Filter

This water filter removes 99.99% of bacteria and protozoa, such as salmonella and giardia. I like this filter because the flow rate is great and it feels like you are drinking out of a regular bottle. Many of the other filters I have tried were like sucking through a coffee stirrer. The other great thing about this filter is that it will screw on to other wide mouth bottles. I drink a lot so when I use it I attach it to my  one liter camelbak bottle.

Hennessy Hammock

Hennessy makes a variety of hammock tents to fit different needs, heights and weights. I use the ultralight backpacker zipper hammock and I love it! Its super light and easy to put up. My only recommendation is if you will be sleeping somewhere cold to get the insert for the bottom. It reflects heat back at you, which keeps you much warmer.

Nemo Sleeping Bag

I have the NEMO Rhapsody 30 women's sleeping bag and I love it. I wanted to have the benefits of a mummy bag, but with a bit more leg room since I like to move at night. This bag has lots of room, it's warm and the most important feature is that it's lightweight. Since I backpack that was a big deal for me.

Muck Boots

I used these in Antarctica and my feet were always warm and dry, even when I was standing in the water after a shore landing. I thought they were comfortable and very easy to walk in. They make a variety of different styles depending on what you will be using them for.

Musto Offshore Pants

If you do anything that requires off shore gear I highly recommend these. They are completely waterproof so you stay dry even when you have waves splashing over the boat. They are pricey but like anything else water related they are an investment.

Chacos

These shoes are adjustable and great for water sports, hiking and just wearing around town. I highly recommend them if you are a backpacker because they are so versatile, which lets you cut down on the amount of shoes you have to carry in your very limited amount of space.

Kleen Kanteen Coffee Mug

The Kleen Kanteen coffee mug is great if you are looking for a larger, leak-proof mug to travel with. It comes in a12 oz, 16 oz and 20 oz. I love coffee so I have the biggest one they make. I find myself in many situations while traveling where I want to take coffee to go when we are leaving for early morning excursions but there are no cups available. This solves that dilemma.

FRE Series iPhone X Case

The FRE series for the iPhone is amazing. I spend a lot of time around the water, snow and dirt and this case is a must! It works so great! I actually submerged it underwater (on accident) during a SUP trip and my phone was dry as a bone when I took it out. I linked the iPhone X here but I have used the case on other iPhone models and it worked just as good.

Oboz Insulated Hiking Boots

The Women’s Bridger 9” Insulated is TOTALLY worth the money! I have tried tons of hiking boots because my feet always get cold. I used these in Yellowstone in the dead of winter standing in feet of snow cutting new trail and stayed warm the entire time!

Garmin InReach Mini

Everyone should have a safety device with them whether on the water, in the backcountry or even in a different country. You never know when you will find yourself without a working cell phone and needing to contact someone for help. This device is very small, lightweight and my favorite.... reliable. I have tried various devices and a lot of times have connectivity issues or find myself trekking to get to a clearing  where the satellite can connect. This device connects to your phone so you can text through the device or your cell phone and seems to work fast. You can opt into certain plans which will give you different amounts of messages per month or year.
