Dr. Bruce Flareau is an experienced senior physician executive, author, executive coach and national speaker on topics including physician leadership, physician engagement, talent development, resiliency, population health, and care transformation. He has a proven track record of organizational effectiveness, and extensive experience in governance, strategic planning, change management and operational execution.
He has held numerous leadership roles including Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of a leading, not-for-profit health system where he created a Physician Leadership Institute, founded a nationally ranked Clinically Integrated Network and Medicare-approved accountable care organization, and provided leadership for the implementation of a system-wide electronic medical record.
Dr. Flareau has been recognized as a full professor at two universities and served as a founding residency program director in Family Medicine. He obtained his medical degree from State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, and completed his Family Medicine residency at Bayfront Medical Center in Florida. He is a certified physician executive, a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Physician Executives, a graduate of the Georgetown Executive Coaching program, and a certified executive coach.
